We came here after doing the incline challenge for an early lunch. The boys got hard cider and I got a mimosa. I was going to get a beer ($4.75) but when the waitress said the mimosas were $4 I thought I'd get that for a change. If you're looking for value for money, get the beer. I got a chicken wrap with onion rings and the choice of a sauce in the side which I chose ranch, my hubby got the steak sandwich and our friend got the cheeseburger. All the food looked good and the boys gave positive feedback on their food. My chicken wrap was a little dry so it was good that I had the ranch to put in it. The onion rings were good too, not too greasy, nice and crunchy.

Aloha Burger was absolutely awesome! I added bacon and think that stepped it up a notch. Waitress was great also! Would definitely return again.

We had gotten finished with a trip to the summit of Pikes Peak and realized how hungry we all were, so we stopped through Manitou Springs to find a bite. This was the first place that caught our eye with patio seating, so we walked inside. It was just about lunch time and not terribly busy (on a Wednesday afternoon), so we sat right down outside under a tree for some shade. A very large and wonderful patio, too. Our waitress came right over and was friendly, got our drinks right away. I had a delicious burger that had bacon and hot peppers on it (I can't remember the name) and it sure hit the spot. My friend had a burger that had pineapple on it and I have never seen her eat something so quickly- definitely a good burger. The fries were also very delicious, although I can't imagine they're healthy by any means. Overall a delicious meal for both of us.

I love the delicious Southwestern Burger. It is my favorite menu item out of all of it. The drinks are a wide range of different brews, and if you don't like the brews well then try one of their mixed drinks. Any time of day is a good time to visit. The patio is the best place to sit. It has a great view of downtown Manitou Springs.

I stopped in here with a friend yesterday after hiking the incline, and their burgers definitely hit the spot! I got the Aloha Burger, and it was delicious! I had never had pineapple on a burger before, and it was a unique combination. Next time I go here I am definitely splitting the nachos with someone. We saw 3 or 4 tables order the nachos, and they were huge!!!

This place is awesome because it is open past 9pm, a rarity in Manitou Springs. Great outdoor seating. Great place to enjoy refreshments and burgers after climbing the Manitou Incline.

MY favorite place to have lunch in Manitou! Great staff--very friendly! Menu selections are varied and fairly priced. Food preparation is good. I eat here at least once a week. OUTSTANDING people watching on their beer garden patio! (The best thing to do in Manitou IS the people watching!) Love this friendly "Cheers-like" pub!

Ate here after walking around garden of the gods. It has a nice, large outdoor patio, perfect for hanging out. The food is average bar food. The jalapeño poppers are delicious. It is strange how they use styrofoam plates and plastic cups/silverware for dine in.

Stopped in after a trip to Pikes Pike. The nachos were the best I've ever had! Would recommend.

Started with the Cujo wings. A great blend of teriyaki and hot sauce and just the right crunch. Wow!! The burgers are fabulous!! The Santa Fe is a must try. The burger is char grilled with a roasted chile, a dollop of guacamole and crispy bacon with your choice of cheese. Yum!! We do not recommend the smothered burrito. The ground beef is really chile beef not taco and it should be smothered in green chile. Homemade preferably. Also they have a lot of service people but service is slow:(

This was my first time at the Townhouse Lounge. It will not be my last time. I went in to enjoy Sunday breakfast with a friend. We sat inside, though they have a beautiful outdoor seating area right in the middle of Manitou. Inside was very nice as well. There are lots of tv's, so if you're looking for somewhere to watch your favorite sport, this would be a great place for you. They have a full bar with $4 Bloody's and Mimosas, but no build your own Bloody Mary Bar (I love those). Food is perfect expectation pub fare. I had Biscuits and Gravy. They weren't that "extra special," but they were good and my eggs were cooked perfect. My friend had the Eggs Benedict, which I always put an extra eye on to see if the eggs are properly poached. They were perfect. Overall, great breakfast. Looking to enjoy the patio area as it warms up.

This eatery was very disappointing. The salads where bland, basically a bowl of lettuce with no accessories, and the dressing watery. We also had buffalo chicken sandwiches that had no flavor other than heat and a burnt bun. Overall a sad experience, the only saving grace being the very nice and accommodating waitresses.

Loved this place! Great patio, awesome jenga made for a relaxing environment. We had Aloha burger, Southwest burger and nachos. All were great!!! I ordered a Bluemoon and mentioned it was a bit warm and our waitress I stanly apologized and brought out a cold one!

This place is my go to bar when I have friends stop by. The food is typical bar food, but reasonably priced. I always order the Kujo wings, which are tossed in teriyaki and buffalo sauce. They are absolutely delicious. I like that they have Blue Moon and Angry Orchard on tap. The on tap beer pitchers are only $13! The service is friendly and reasonably paced. I have never had a complaint about anything at this place. A solid hangout spot for a great night out.

Rated this place as a 3. It's not bad, it's not fantastic...it's average. Nice staff, enjoyed eating outside. Had a GAINT Nacho platter, it was big and good. Bar food.

  • Khampha K.

Excellent food, excellent service. Best wings I've ever had- the sauce is very unique. There was a mix up with our order but it was super busy and we did not complain- yet the manager still came out and apologized and comped up 20% off our bill. Aloha burger and rider burger are also unique combos.... But the wings are to die for. Great place to eat after a tough climb up the manitou incline. Relaxed, friendly atmosphere with Jenga on the patio

We were planning a day trip to go up Pike's Peak, but frankly after combing through Yelp reviews, nothing stood out in Manitou Springs for lunch options, so we decided to wing it. Townhouse Lounge was chosen because it was on the same side of the street we were when we decided it was time to eat. (Do you realize how hard it is to get four car-weary people to come to a decision on food?) Lunch here was quite good. We were here before the season started, so it was mostly a bunch of noisy locals in with us. We weren't expecting much, since it looked more like a bar than a restaurant, but the chicken wrap I ordered was quite good, if overstuffed and messy. Don't pass up the french fries. Perfectly crisp and seasoned!

  • Terry A.

Nothing bad about this place. I'd just give it an average review. The food wasn't bad, but it was not amazing either. I've only been once, and if you want something basic, you'll probably be fine. Just don't expect to be blown away. Service was fine too.

  • Mikala M.

My husband I came here after doing a hike at Pikes Peak. The places was pretty busy but we found a spot on the patio. Some people were enjoying extra large Jenga and craft beer. They had a decent range of beers to choose from and an expected food menu for a bar, the menu seemed a little small. I got a chicken sandwich and we got the wings as an app. Some yelpers have said they have the best wings ever, I disagree, the wings are good but not the best ever. My chicken sandwich was decent, nothing special but it hit the spot. Our waitress was incredible: super friendly and very knowledgeable she seemed like a veteran.

I've been here before and had adequate service. Bur, yesterday my friends and I came here to eat. We sat outside, and before we sat, 2 servers cleaned our table. It was great service! However , we didn't have one server talk to us, let alone look at us, for ten minutes. For ten minutes we didn't even get a "be right with you." Im fairly patient, however, I was starving and felt that they didn't even notice that we left after no service.

Great place. The burgers are amazing! I had the Rider Burger which has cream cheese, jalapeños, and a pineapple ring.... Never thought that would be delicious but it is!

There is a special place in my heart for the bars in Manitou. The people that are there are always very nice and relaxing. Townhouse is always hit and miss when it comes to the amount of people there. Some times in the middle of summer on a Friday there will be four people in there, or raining during fall and it is packed. I personally like that it is always different. One night a week they have karaoke, either Thursday or Tuesday. On Friday they have a band. They are usually pretty decent! They are airing sports all the time, probably an awesome spot for Sunday football. The booze is cheap and the food is pretty good. They have a decent amount of beers in tap also. The patio is really nice if the weather permits. Definitely an awesome place if you are looking for a relaxed energy and a drink.

Went here after a trip up Pikes Peak with my parents who were visiting Colorado for the first time. We ordered chips, salsa, guac, and three sandwhiches. The chips were clearly a cheap bagged grocery store brand. Stale. The salsa was also a low quality grocery store brand. The guac was awful. My dad ordered the saddest looking sloppy joe I've ever seen. I've seen school lunch sloppy Joe's that were better quality. He maybe ate two bites before having to stop. My mom and I had BLT'S. The only saving grace was the bacon. Bread was stale, vegetables didn't seem fresh. Honestly one of the worst meals I've ever had at a restaurant. Don't waste your time or money. The server seemed sweet enough but there's no point of good service when the food is god awful.

We went to The Townhouse for lunch today. My family will never return. I understand that they were busy but it was an hour before we were brought our appetizer of chips with beans & cheese which was cold. It was another 35 minutes before we were brought our entrees. While the waitress took the appetizer off of our bill, the bill still indicated the extras we ordered but were never brought. Soooo, we had to wait again for her to get the bill adjusted. So, in what is basically a generic bar we had okay food that took 2 hours of our vacation on a Sunday when places close early anyway. The thing that confounded us was the fact that they had lots of staff but there seemed to be a lot of wandering by them and not much serving.

Good old school tavern vibe. Local draft beers on tap and todays special Coleslaw Buffalo Breaded Chicken Wrap w/fries for $7.95 was worth the money. As a bonus local guy drinking at the end of the bar kept playing 70s and 80s love songs on the jukebox. ;)

Stopped in for lunch with the family to a lovely bar atmosphere - pool tables, jukeboxes, tvs with World Cup, very attentive and friendly hippie chick waitress. Ordered Caesar wrap, Caesar salad, fish tacos, buffalo wings, and Townhouse burger. No complaints. Took home leftovers. Margarita was good and the beer was cold. Good restaurant.

We had a group party here the other night. The staff has been and was nothing but accommodating and awesome. We Kept our server running all night with our group and she was pleasant and attentive the whole time which did not go unnoticed! The food we had was just appetizers, pretty typical fare for bar apps except the mozzarella sticks which were kind of amazing.... Oh and they have a pretty good beer selection, everyone in the group was pretty happy. In the back room we were in there was plenty of space and tons of tvs which we were able to watch the games of our choice on. There was also karaoke after 9pm which was ridiculously fun. So glad we decided to choose townhouse lounge for our party! Wish it wasn't raining because I know how awesome the patio is too. Don't miss this bar in you're in manitou!!!

I love this place. Great outdoor eating area, occasionally they have live music, super friendly staff who go out of their way to make sure you're happy. The food is divine, really good fries. I loved sitting outside people watching and chatting to the locals.

Great casual restaurant bar for a beer and burger. The service is awesome. Nice selection of beers on tap. Large bar for hanging out and socializing and plenty of tables for your family, friends and small groups. Nice menu - Not huge but everything I've tried has been good though typical bar fare. Without a doubt the best feature is the patio which is huge and provides a great view for people watching in manitou. Highly recommend!

  • Erin M.

The service was quick, the fries were seasoned and a meal for 2 including a drink came in under $25 with tips. Score! The burger was unremarkable, but the patio dining balanced it out. With so many places in town, I don't think I'll be back soon, but this is a great place to grab a quick bite for a fair price on a cute patio.

  • Ryan H.

Don't waste your time & money. Since we're not from the area, we only stopped in here because of the reviews on Yelp, but after waiting 35 minutes for average burgers & cold fries, it was apparent that either something's changed here, or the posted reviews were from the employees. The next day, however, we ate at PJ's Bistro and had a fabulous experience. I highly recommend that you skip Townhouse and head directly to PJ's.

Just moved here and went out for a Burger and Beer. Had Great Wings and a Good Burger and the Beer was good. Met the owners and very nice folk and made me feel welcome and they were working their Hearts off. Music was good although I enjoyed the first band for the 1987 HS reunion better than the 2nd band. He sang so many good songs took me back....Sweet Caroline .....Jimmy Buffet. I'll be back

Summary: Great atmosphere, Amazing staff, Clean, Reasonable Prices with a Comfortable atmosphere. NOTE: If you're visiting and stop in here for something to eat because after watching the Travel channel, Food network and/or one of Gordon Ramsay's many shows and like to think of yourself as a "foodie" despite having zero basis to do so, then you might have a different opinion. Townhouse lounge is a "lounge"- meaning they have a bar, entertainment and yes- they also serve food. They don't promote themselves as being an upscale restaurant, or even a trendy eatery. They are a local bar, which for those unfamiliar with an evidently antiquated practice called: "Common Sense/Logic", means that their priority is serving their customers drinks and offering an interesting atmosphere that makes you want to stay and spend time with friends and/or meet new people. This was the first place I stopped in after arriving in Colorado Springs for my first time ever. I took a look at a few other places in Manitou Springs, but in the end I chose the Townhouse Lounge because it was the most appealing. The bouncer "Nick" was nice as could be. Bouncers aren't paid to be nice, nor are they obligated to be helpful, but since he was the first person at the front of the house, it created a great first impression. I took a seat at a high-top table and looked around the place, trying to imagine myself becoming a regular here sometime in the future. There was live music (not bad), a separate room with a pool table, and an outdoor patio (probably amazing in the spring and summer). Mary (my waitress) came over beaming with a heartfelt smile that made the 16-degree temperature outside seem like a thing of the past. I ordered an app of mozzarella sticks and she recommended the Southwest Chicken Sandwich. Now I've been to a lot of bars and I know exactly what bar food tastes like. I can tell you that regardless of where the mozzarella sticks came from- they were cooked perfectly. It truly makes a difference and they were fantastic. My Southwest Chicken Sandwich was unbelievable- far beyond typical/average bar food quality/standards. Someone must have put some genuine thought into selecting the ingredients, because it tasted delicious and it was actually pretty spicy. I washed everything down with some Fat Tire from the tap and listened to the live band perform for a bit before heading back to my hotel. I should also note that from the people-watching I did while there, I could tell that the locals who frequent this place are friendly, down to earth and just go about their own business enjoying themselves. The staff there knew I was a kind-of-tourist, straight from California and a first-time visitor, but they were friendly and extremely helpful. I should also note that I went on a Friday night, so despite being busy everything still went off without a hitch. I tried out the other places as well, The Keg, PJ's, etc. and they were all great, it's just that the Townhouse is my favorite so far. My advice- as long as you don't go in with an unwarranted/unnecessary attitude and you are fully aware that at "Bars" there aren't ever really "standard" time-frames for food (it's a bar, $#!t happens), then you won't ever regret stepping foot into what in my opinion is quite arguably The Best Bar in Manitou Springs, CO-Townhouse Lounge gets an A+ in my book.

Fun little spot nestled away in Manitou. The food is great for bar food and reasonably priced. The staff was very quick to take my order as well. It really only gets three stars because of its lack of good beers and the fact that I consistently had three inches of foam on each beer I ordered. I know an inch is standard for micro brews but it looked like I had a half pint before I even got around to taking a sip. Still just being nit picky, definitely worth checking out.

More of a "walk -in-off-the-street" bar than anything. The food was served quick and was really good. Guacamole burgers, turkey and ham croissants, wings and celery, all what you would want and expect. If you are looking for gourmet/fancy/upscale, then go to PJ's Bisto or the Monet Lisa. But if you want American fare that is served good and hot so that you can get on your way to Pikes Peak or the Incline, or Cave of the Winds, or whatever, then this is just perfect...and a fraction of the price of others round it.

Walking down Manitou Avenue you can't help but notice the purple and yellow exterior of the Townhouse Lounge as it beckons to you with its Roger Rabbit meets Cozy Dive vibe. As a new and curious local to this town I've made an effort to soak in as much as I can about the special businesses here. Townhouse Lounge has a long and varied history, and it's right in the center of town. It was one of the first diner or bars I had been to when I came to visit and it's now become a regular place of mine. Going inside, you're hit with warm-bar-feel and funky coziness from the music echoing inside and bustle of servers running steaming plates of crispy fries and eclectic burgers to the hungry, downtrodden and overwhelmed. The etched wood carvings and seemingly multiplying amount of neon lights and wall art make the bar area inviting, and the people sitting there are friendly enough to make room for you - it's a mix of bright-eyed tourists and cheery or sage-like mischievous locals muttering about their latest plans. And there is always something going on there it seems - from it's awesome Karaoke on Thursday night, Open Mic night with local blues and rock musicians coming out to jam or live bands. They have a great Happy Hour and friendly, knowledgeable bartenders with their own unique style that make you feel welcome and not alienated, whether you go there often or not. I was immediately greeted when I came in today and ventured to the outdoor area for the first time to try their surprisingly varied and delicious sounding breakfast menu and got myself a crispy, cinnamon-y french toast, with the little pieces of buttery and crunchy corn flakes lining it, that rivaled the most fancy and pretentious breakfast specialty restaurants at a fraction of the price (I will return for this French Toast!!!). They also had a Bloody Mary Bar with a good selection of spices to unleash the alcoholic mad scientist within. The servers all seemed busy, but mine was still friendly, available, and quick - I felt taken care of as a diner as I have at the bar, and I made sure to give her proper kudos. As I sat and ate my cinnamon-y french toast, sipping alcoholic tomato juice and coffee in equal measure, occasionally writing in my notebook - I felt pretty lucky. The sky was clear and blue, and the people around me were all enjoying themselves on the patio. It was a nice vibe, and all in all a fun experience.

The bartender/server was so stoned that he forgot that he had already taken our order. When he apologized for forgetting we had to remind him that we wanted two cheeseburgers: pretty complicated, I know. So the service was terrible, and it was pretty clear why. Clearly, poorly managed. And who only accepts cash? But the burgers were good and the beer comes ice cold in a frosty mug. So at least we didn't go thirsty. We won't be back.

Don't do it! The only reason I'm giving this place two stars is because they have one of my fave beers, Laughing Lab, on tap. You could seriously find better food in the freezer aisles of Walmart. There aren't many vegetarian options apart from the veggie burgers. I would have gone with that but when I asked what they were made of, she replied "I don't know, we don't make them here"...so she went to the freezer and looked at the bag and discovered they're mostly cheese and soy. Yuck. Ordered the fish tacos instead and the bean and cheese dip. Everything tasted straight from the can and even the chicken tenders looked like they had just been frozen. The chips were stale, not even the veggies tasted fresh. Just stay away from the food here! Blech!

Super bizarre experience. A friend of mine and I stopped in for a drink, and were immediately sought out by the bartender who appeared to be around 45. He asked us for ID immediately, which is great, but proceeded to say "Well God, you two look young. Particularly you," gesturing at my friend. He continued to say "Well when you young girls come in, you always think 'sting operation'" - a weird comment that we weren't sure how to respond to. I asked him how his night was going and he said it was slow to which I responded "Yeah, you look a little glassy eyed," which was meant to indicate bored, but he took to mean not-sober and proceeded to defend the fact that he was, in fact, sober at work. We moved outside to avoid this weirdo, but he followed us outside and asked a whole series of personal questions. He eventually left and watched us from the door for the rest of our visit - which ended almost immediately after that. We were so creeped out that we practically ran out of the bar after we'd paid. Super weird! Don't go here! Strange vibe and even weirder bartenders (he also claimed to be the owner...).

Best burger in Manitou Springs! Perfect place to sit inside and catch a Rockies game with a beer and a burger. I had a cheeseburger and it was one of the juiciest burgers I have had in a long time. The fries were thin cut and fresh, just how I like them. The service was great too. We were one of the few parties sitting inside and were more than taken care of, by all of the staff. Great atmosphere and feeling to the place!

Went to Townhouse Lounge because I had a coupon for this place. I went with my wife on a sunny day so the patio lounge was perfect for the day. Got quick service. That was a plus. Beer was good. The food was mediocre at best. The food they served would've been the food I would have ate when I was in college. Made cheap but they gave you lots of it. So it will fill you up, but the quality wasn't there .

Oh, why didn't we pass up this place. From outside, the menu looked OK. After I sat down and ordered a Coke, I saw on the menu, "NO refills". Ugh. Not only that, but they only accept cash. (Hey, join the 80's!) It can't get worse, right? Enter - the server. It's now worse. The server we got couldn't have hated her job anymore. I don't recall ever seeing her smile and when I asked for the other part of my meal, I got the feeling it was an inconvenience for her. Really? The food was OK. It's a bar, more or less, so you're eating bar food. The beer selection looked OK. I'll never be back.

Really impressed with this bar! Buddy and I stopped here for a beer after doing the incline. Atmosphere was excellent and the place was clean and well maintained. Bar winch was friendly and polite but not over the top. Would come here again in a heartbeat.

Eh, it wasn't terrible but it wasn't very good either. We were hungry after a hike and stopped here because they have outdoor seating, even in November. While no one said much because we were hungry and thirsty, but no one was impressed. I had the smothered burrito. It was supposed to have beef and beans but mine was mostly beef. The problem with that is the meat had the taste and texture of Taco Bell beef. Not terrible, but not that good. I did eat it, though. It was cheap and fast and maybe the burgers are better than their take on Mexican but is not someplace I would go back to eat. They would have gotten three stars but people were seated next to us on the patio that started smoking. We sat outside to enjoy the last warm days of the year, not to sit with the smokers.

I really wish overall I could give this place 2.5 stars because I feel like it's nothing outstanding, but not bad either Definitely has a hole-in-the-wall vibe which I definitely dig. I grabbed a quick drink and some chips and salsa here with a friend one night while visiting in Manitou Springs on a locals suggestion. The prices were good, the beer selection was okay (about 5-6 Colorado local beers on tap) and the food was so-so. The food was definitely not anything to write home about, and this definitely isn't somewhere I would go specifically for food. If you're looking for a place to grab a quick well-priced drink this is your place.

Talk about the most perfect place for middle-of-the-day beers and wings right after spreading Grandma's ashes. Shoo! A skylight in the middle of the room lights up the place with a super warm glow. Linda and Roger, the owners, have a warm glow of their own and they're great at spreading it around the room. Frosty mugs. Pitchers aplenty. Great beers on tap. Super fun jukebox. And the wings were ssspicy! Yes! It was a bit too chilly for the patio, but if ever I'm back in the summer I'll definitely plant myself out there for an afternoon (or two).

After the pinball closed we didn't want to head back to the same dive we took our first beer break in but we did want to try some local brews on tap, if at all possible. On our way back to the car, we decided to pop into the Townhouse because it had an awesome patio and it was a warm evening. We tried a couple of micro brews in frosty mugs and it was a perfect end to a perfectly fun evening. With spirited conversation on the patio between sips of Vanilla Porter from Denver, I couldn't think of anywhere else I would have rather been at that moment. I wished I could repeat the whole thing again the next night but alas, we had to drive back to Denver and prepare to fly home the following day, our vacation was over...

One of the best patios in Manitou. Good selection of beers and decent food. I haven't really hung for the music but if you're in the neighborhood on a afternoon it's a relaxing place to be. Internet jukebox a plus.
